- We have lived in San Francisco for the past 4.5 years and were married here in 2007. Chad is from Iowa while Colleen grew up near Chicago. We are both graduates of the University of Iowa where we met 7 years ago. Prior to the trip Colleen worked at a small non-profit while Chad worked as a management consultant. We love the outdoors and everything that comes with living in Northern California. We enjoy biking, running, snowboarding, camping, craft beer and sunsets over glasses of wine on our roof.

Hi Colleen and Chad - It's Cathy - love the blog! I was checking when you are heading out of India and it turns out that you will miss Tom by 1 day - he will be in Chennai on the 26th of July for 5 or 6 days and he was hoping to be able to offer you some accomodations, but it looks like you will just miss him...close, but not quite - you'll probably pass in the air.
