We headed out of Camp Town in our Land Rover rental, and after a few quick stops on the Cape 
Peninsula coast to see the small towns and the native penguins, we headed to wine country and a small university town called Stellenbosch. We were able to camp 2 nights behind a local backpackers in town, and spent a day wine tasting. After 4 and a half years of living in San Francisco close to some of the best wine in the world, we were shocked by how CHEAP it is to buy wine here. Wine tastings ranged from 1-4 USD and bottles from 4-6 USD. Ridiculously cheap, even on a backpackers budget.

Ridiculously cheap, even on a backpackers budget.We are currently in a small town on the Garden Route coast called Wilderness, named because it is well, wild. There is a national park here where we canoed and hiked up to a waterfall today, and are camping at a backpackers on top of a hill with gorgeous views of the water and surrounding area.
Today is officially our 1 month anniversary of traveling and we cannot 
believe how quickly time is moving. We realize each day how lucky we are to do be experiencing this adventure together and are thankful for these times and everything we have. With the car we are now planning most of our travels 2-3 days in advance. Tomorrow we head to Jeffrey’s Bay, a world renowned South Africa surf town, and from there we are heading to Addo Elephant Reserve for two nights of wildlife.

But the granolas back home would not approve of that transportation!
The sunset pic is awesome, not sure if you are trying to hide the bottle of wine and glasses in front of your chair or that is just where you set them down before the timer went off on the camera. Either way, must have been some sunset.

Not to get you too jealous but MIchelle and my self are up in Mammoth with our sweet Toyota Matrix rental. Awesome conditions here this weekend.
